Voicemeter is an Android/iOS application for reading supported Bluetooth multimeter measurements on a smart phone and speaking held values aloud.
This Privacy Policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and how it is handled.

Bluetooth nearby device information
Voicemeter requests Bluetooth permissions so it can scan for, connect to, and read data from supported Bluetooth Low Energy multimeters.
The app uses Bluetooth only to communicate with multimeters selected by the user.
The app may store previously connected meter names and Bluetooth addresses locally on the device to make reconnection easier.
Multimeter measurement data
Voicemeter receives measurement values, units, modes, battery status, and connection status from the connected multimeter.
This information is used to show the live value, detect stable held measurements, speak captured values, and show recent measurements inside the app.
Recent measurements are stored only inside the app while the app is running.
Speech output
Voicemeter uses Android/iOS text-to-speech to speak captured measurement values.
The app does not record microphone audio and does not use speech recognition.
- How the information is used
The app uses Bluetooth nearby device information to find and connect to supported multimeters.
The app uses multimeter measurement data to show live readings, speak held values, and display recent measurements.
The app uses locally stored meter information to reconnect to previously used multimeters.
- Data sharing
Voicemeter does not sell personal data.
Voicemeter does not upload Bluetooth device information, measurement values, recent measurements, or meter information to our servers.
Voicemeter does not require an internet connection for normal measurement use.
- Data storage and retention
Previously connected meter information may be stored locally on the device.
Recent measurements are kept inside the app during use and may be cleared by closing the app, clearing app storage, or uninstalling the app.
The user can remove app data by clearing the app storage or uninstalling the app from Android/iOS settings.
- Security
The app communicates only with Bluetooth multimeters selected by the user.
Users should use the app only with meters and equipment they are authorized to operate.
- Children
Voicemeter is intended for engineers, technicians, students, and other users working with electronics and test measurements. It is not directed to children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
